Fifteen minutes from home, RV goes up in flames

The owners of a motorhome were just 15 minutes from home when their RV caught fire. In this TV report, the RVers explain what happened and how they escaped once they spotted the flames. And check out what also got burned in the trailer they were pulling. You won't see flames in this video, but you'll see the aftermath of an RV trip gone wrong.

Motorhome burns at street intersection

This video lasts less than three minutes. Yet, in that time this recent model Class A motorhome goes from barely on fire to a total loss. The camera work on this is lousy, but the drama of the spreading fire is chilling. This is no junker motorhome asking for trouble, but a new RV that nobody would think would catch fire and be ruined so incredibly fast.

RV park nightmare: fire spreads from RV to RV

At our sister website RVtravel.com, a reader commented in June, 2008, about his concern that a fire in an RV parked next to him in a cramped campground could be a huge problem. Well, here is evidence that, indeed, it can be a big, big problem. Watch what happens after the propane tank of one RV explodes, and then the flames leap to one RV after another.

Motorhome no more! Want to buy a burnt frame cheap?

The suspense builds in this short video, with the camera person more interested in capturing the boring action of the fire truck and then the fire persons as they grab hose. Finally, you see the burning RV? Holy moley! This is sad. No vacation for the owners of this rig.
